LEGO of my ZX

Two things I truly enjoy, Sneakers and Legos, when I heard about the collaboration between Adidas and Lego I was as giddy as a three year old in a candy store. Lego has given every child a path way to fully explore their imagination, while Adidas will always be one of the three kings of the sneaker world.

The collaboration between these two companies led to three different lines. The launch was a ZX 8000 with a white sneaker accented in the multi color look legos are known for, then came out the Ultraboost Lego with a similar motif to the first ZX 8000 silhouette that had come out prior but with an even cleaner look in my opinion. The third version came out with the ZX 8000 silhouette too, but rather than just one pair, six pairs were released each in one the iconic lego colors. All three releases incorporated the iconic lego block texture so it would be obvious to any one what the collaboration is.

From all the three releases the latest is the one that I loved. Yes the Ultraboost is more comfortable, and the first ZX got the most hype, but the fact that there were six different colors and each one looks better than the other while staying true to the lego image is what makes it my favorite out of the three.

The final six of the lego collaboration came in red, blue, grey, black, green, and yellow. My favorites out of those six are definitely the yellow, the grey and the green. Four out of the six have this metallic matte look, but all of them have the lego bricks on the heels of the shoe, and come with the traditional triple stripe that all adidas incorporate, yet on these they have a yellow border which plays homage to the lego logo.

All in all the lego collaboration is something that gives out this nostalgic feeling of times where I would spend hours building weird looking cars with legos, then destroying them by trying to see how fast they’d go. The color ways of the latest release in my opinion is the one to go for and can actually be found here in Kuwait at SNKR Store. But keep in mind that sizes are running out so if you are interested and there is a color way that yo fancy, check them out before they’re gone.
