Another RZE!

Tool watches are awesome and can be addictive due to the fact that it is the most versatile type of watches. With the likes of Tudor, Omega, being my favorite tool watches, but they don’t have to be in the same price range to be amazing tool watches. Hamilton, Seiko, among others are always good options, especially in their price range.

My recent purchase of a tool watch is this beautiful RZE Resolute SC in this beautiful Glacier white dial. I fell in love with the first watch I purchased from RZE, the Acentus GMT, and have considering purchasing another watch from them and decided that the Resolute SC is the best choice for me.

The watch is a super compressor, meaning that the watch is a dive watch, but not any kind of dive watch. The watch is more watertight when it’s under increased water pressure, due to it having an incorporated sealing method, usually with two crowns, one to set the time and the other is to control the internal rotating bezel. The RZE Resolute SC follows this classification, but doing something a bit different, usually super compressor watches come with larger case sizes, but this watch comes in at the perfect size 40mm!

The watch itself is made of titanium meaning it weighs roughly 120g making easy on the wrist, but also the case’s thickness comes in at 12mm which surprised me honestly, because I can easily fit it under the cuff of my shirt, while still giving 200m water resistance. The dial has this sand effect in a beautiful glacier white color, contrasted by the internal black rotating bezel. What I didn’t know before I purchased the watch was that the whole dial is covered in swiss lume giving off a blue color, and the applied indexes in green, making the watch literally light up.

The watch comes with a Miyota 90S5 Automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve. Compared to my Acentus GMT which came with a five-link engineer bracelet, the bracelet on the Resolute SC suits my hair arms bit more. Making it a perfect watch for a weekend getaway and the fact it fits so perfectly on my wrist means it’s going to be one of the watches I pick up without thinking about it.
