At the time there are a number of Arab watch companies and Arab watchmakers making a name for themselves. Including Bedaa a Qatari watch company and Rcaph a Saudi Arabian watch company which I talked about in a previous blog post. But the one that started it all in recent times is Zaman watches.
Zaman watches started as an idea that brought to life through exceptional designs and meticulous craftmanship, with a local twist that stays true to the Kuwait culture. Launched in June 2016 the brand and has become a staple in the watch community here in Kuwait.
One of my dear friends Salem AlMutawa a.k.a @Tokei_Ronin collaborated with Zaman back in Febraury of 2025, with the Day and Night watch that paid homage to two watches. The Cartier Tank, with the case design and the Zenith Chronomaster Revival Lupin Third Final Edition (a mouthful I know). I owned the Cartier Tank and loved it, but I had recently parted ways with it, but the dial of the Zaman Day and Night pays tribute to the Zenith. To be completely honest it is one of my favorite Zenith watches, the dial is split white and black at an angle. But with a new year comes a new collaboration between Zaman and Tokei.
That’s new collaboration is the Zaman Razzah, which translates to elegance and classy. It uses the same case, but the dial and strap are different. The Dial is in this beautiful Sunburst Burgundy Dial. The burgundy dial is split with lines that run through the dial using these lines as the indices of the watch. Paired to this beautiful dial is a genuine leather strap that has a crocodile leather look. Powering the watch a Swiss Quartz movement giving the watch a 5 ATM water resistance rating. Something to keep in mind is the watch sits at 27mm x 38mm and 8.5mm thickness making this watch a unisex watch, it fits well on both men’s and women’s wrists.
The quality of the watch is unbelievable and the beauty of the dial is something else, but to get all of that for 65KWD ($220) isn’t just a steal but it’s a dream come true to watch collectors. The Zaman Razzah is limited to 100 pieces, and they are flying off the shelves, so check them out on their website, link below.
